Individual Peer Support

Igniting hope in our communities, a key determinant to recovery.

Peer Support is a powerful complement to diverse clinical options, considering every aspect of a person’s journey. It empowers individuals to pursue the right supports, navigate social services, and develop self-confidence for effective self-advocacy. With Peer Support, individuals make significant progress towards stability and cultivate a profound sense of wellness.

If you are facing mental health or substance use challenges, you can connect with us for individual peer support and access our programs through 3 convenient ways:

1. Drop-In Peer Support

DIPS (Drop-In Peer Support) is available every Monday from 1-4 pm at our office on 100-4 Fort Street. Our trained Peer Supporters offer a safe and supportive space for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Please note that DIPS operates on a first-come, first-serve basis and remember to register in-person. Prioritize your mental health and take proactive steps towards wellness.

*Not available on statutory holidays*

2. 1 on 1 Peer Support Sessions

You are not alone in your journey. Whether you prefer in-person, virtual, or phone support, fill out the form, and your trained Peer Supporter will reach out to you for an initial call. We will work together to find a schedule that suits your needs. Please note that there may be a waiting list, but we will contact you as soon as there is an opening. Peer support work is highly regarded and effective when provided by capable individuals with the right skills, attitude, and approach.
